From 06 until 09 November 2018, in the context of the operational training, high trajectory fires were conducted, with the participation of Artillery Units’ personnel and assets:

    • Of D Army Corps “THRACE”.

    • Of XII and XVI Infantry Mechanized Division (XII INFANTRY MECHANIZED DIVISION “EVROS” – XVI INFANTRY MECHANIZED DIVISION “DIDYMOTIHO”.

    • Of 50th Mechanized Brigade (50th MECHANIZED BRIGADE “APSOS”).

Our personnel conducted day and night fires with precision, with RM-70 Multiple Launchers Rockets, M109A3GEA2 Self-Propelled Howitzer, PzH2000GR and M106 4,2’’ Mortars Carriers’’.

The fires were combined with the simultaneous maneuver troops’ support (Infantry, Armor), which operate in D Army Corps Area of Responsibility, thus simulating the real conditions.

During this four-day period, the training was conducted in a realistic environment and the whole targeting and fire support procedure in forward Commands was evaluated. Improved techniques and procedures of targets’ engagement were implemented.
