On Friday 29 April 2022, the celebration ceremony in honour of the Great Martyr Saint George, patron of the Army, was conducted at the Infantry School in Chalkida.

The event was attended by the Deputy Minister of National Defence Mr Nikolaos Chardalias as representative of the President of the Government, the PM Mr Spyridon Pnevmatikos as representative of the Speaker of the Hellenic Parliament, His Beatitude the Archbishop of Athens and All of Greece Mr Ieronymos, who officiated the ceremony, the Chief of HNDGS General Konstantinos Floros and the Chief of HAGS Lieutenant General Charalambos Lalousis.

The ceremony was also attended by PMs, representatives of Parliamentary Parties, the Chief of HNGS Vice Admiral Stylianos Petrakis, the Chief of HAFGS Lieutenant General Themistoklis Bourolias, representatives of the Chiefs of the Hellenic Police and the Port Authority, the Chief of the Fire Department Lieutenant General Alexios Rapanos, members of the Holy Synod of the Church of Greece, members of the local self-government, members of the Higher Military Council, as well as the honorary Chief of HAGS retired General Georgios Kambas.
